Let’s keep it simple. Donald Trump and the Republicans just betrayed the working class. Again.
This week, the Senate passed Trump’s so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill.” But don’t let the name fool you. It’s not beautiful for you, your family, or your paycheck. It’s beautiful for the billionaires who already have everything—and just got more.
The economy is slipping, even Fox News couldn’t sugarcoat it. Maria Bartiromo said it herself: economists expected 95,000 new jobs in June. Instead, we lost 33,000.
That’s not a small dip. That’s a full-on backslide. Jobs are being slashed. Layoffs are rising. Wages are frozen. Meanwhile, prices for groceries, gas, rent, and health care are still climbing. And now this new bill is making things even worse for regular Americans.
Republicans claim the bill helps the economy. But in reality, it helps the rich and hurts everyone else.
The bill cuts over a trillion dollars from Medicaid, which millions of working people rely on for health care. It cuts food assistance, so families struggling to put meals on the table will get even less help. It takes money away from public education and college aid, making it harder for the next generation to get ahead.
It takes money from Meals on Wheels so Jeff Bezos can buy another yacht.
Clean energy jobs are getting wiped out. Almost 1.7 million people could lose their jobs because of this bill, mostly in industries that were growing and paying decent wages.
And while all of that is happening to everyday workers, the wealthy are celebrating. This bill gives them massive tax breaks. It opens up loopholes for private jets, luxury real estate, and offshore accounts. It even weakens the IRS so the rich can get away with cheating on their taxes, while you keep getting audited over a few hundred bucks.
If you make less than $400,000 a year, and that’s the vast majority of Americans, you’re not getting anything out of this bill. You’re paying for it.
Trump likes to talk about the “forgotten Americans.” He acts like he’s fighting for the little guy. But the truth is, he isn’t fighting for you. He’s fighting for the billionaires, the hedge fund managers, the oil executives, and the country club buddies he throws parties with.
He’s helping people who already have more than they’ll ever need, while the rest of us struggle just to keep the lights on.
It’s Time for a Working Class Revolution
This isn’t just about one bill. It’s about power. It’s about who gets listened to in Washington and who gets left behind.
If we want change, we have to stop waiting for someone else to fix it. We have to do it ourselves. That means voting in every election, not just the presidential ones. It means backing candidates who actually fight for working people, not just pose for photos in hard hats.
It means organizing. At work. In your community. With your neighbors. And it means telling the truth loudly and clearly. The system is broken, and it won’t fix itself.
We built this country. We keep it running. But right now, we’re getting nothing in return. That needs to end.
2026 must be the year the working class stands up, speaks out, and takes back what’s ours. This country belongs to the people who work for it—not the ones who buy it.
Enough is enough.
